If you’ve been wondering where Dragon and Goat have been the past few months, they have gotten a little vacation while Adam has been working on his latest book Beyond Paper Walls. After inking this summer the editing, toning, typing, and more editing is now finito- and the glorious final files are off to Kraken Print . The book is an autobiographical comic/ graphic essay exploring the boundaries between an Imagined Japan and a Real Japan that takes place while Adam and his wife Alli take a a hike up Fushimi Inari mountain. The first edition of the book will be released early 2016 and will be hardbound with blue book cloth and a shiny foil stamp-all in black and white- which, as they say in manga, allows you to imagine the colors. The book has been made possible by a generous grant from the City of Chicago’s Individual Artist Grant through the Dept. of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
Now with the new book off to press it’s time to gear up for the next Dragon and Goat book!
